Contoh Soal Understanding a procedure textThe purpose of Procedure is to tell readers on how to do or make something. 
The content of procedure text is usually in the form of steps to show readers the process to do or to make something. The examples of procedure text are recipe and manual.
The structure of procedure text is

For recipe : goal, ingredients, method
For manual : goal, steps
For instructions : goal, materials, rules, steps
The following recipe is the example of a procedure text:
How To Make Fried Egg Sandwich
Ingredients:

• Two slices of bread
• Butter 
• Two eggs
• Salt and peppers
• Cooking oil
• Tomatoes, lettuces, chili sauce
Method:

1. Take some bread, slice them, make two slices.
2. Butter the slices.
3. Take two eggs, break them into a dish and beat the eggs.
4. Add some salt and pepper.
5. Stir the eggs.
6. Take a frying pan, put some cooking oil on it and heat it.
7. Pour the eggs into the pan and fry them.
8. Put the fried eggs between the slices of bread.
9. Add some tomatoes, lettuces and chili sauce.
In understanding procedure text, readers must know the use of some technical verbs there. The verbs are showing about ‘the process.' Verbs used in procedure text are verbs that used specifically in “processing something.” They can be verbs like beat, boil, butter, cut, chop, grill, heat, bake, pour, slice, stir, mix or spread in recipe. In the manual, the verbs can be like put into, put out, plug in, plug out, press, take, adjust etc.
In procedure text like recipe, some quantifier words are also needed. Since recipe uses ingredients (food materials), therefore, it needs quantifier to explain its uncountable nouns.

How to Cook Lasagna
Ingredients:
